First edition of this work describing the funeral rites of the Romans, the Greeks, the Egyptians, the Scythians, the Indians (some details concerning the American Indians of Peru), the Hebrews, the Turkish and the Christians. Illustrated with an engraved title figuring a portico and 32 nice etchings in the text (some showing instruments) excuted after those of Girolamo Porro.
