publiée à Paris par Henri Bonnart, s.d. [2e moitié du XVIIe s. ?]. Reliées en 1 vol., 20,5 x 15 cm,
veau de l'époque (frotté à éraflé, coins lég. émoussés), dos orné doré à 5 nerfs (nerfs et mors
frottés, coiffe sup. défect.), étiq. de cuir rouge, tr. jaspées. Pet. souill. d'encre marg. sur le titre,
qqs déchir. marg. sans gravité, cert. renforcées.

Titre et 62 planches non num. formant une plaisante suite de figures diverses (poses et attitudes de soldats,
héros de la mythologie, femmes...) croquées d'une pointe alerte par un artiste anonyme d'après les gravures
du peintre et graveur baroque italien Salvator Rosa (1615-1673), actif à Naples, Florence et Rome. Par
l'éditeur H. Bonnart (1642-1711). Cachet rouge monogr. S.R. sur le titre.

the thick branches of a rose tree; fifteen images within roundels of the Passion of Christ are placed upon the
branches bearing roses, while the Crucifixion roundel, suspended from the beads of a rosary wound about
the thick branches framing the mandorla, is at the base of the tree; worshipping angels adorn each corner"
