(loosening, head def., stained), 104 ff. in 13 quires of 8 ff., incl. 46 blank ff., written by at least 2
hands (gothic and humanist) in black and brown ink (top margin stained, ink stain in top of 2nd
half). Good condition.

of 1st half), followed by an anthology of classical authors on funerals ("In exequias veterum quod fieri

with full-page coat-of-arms of a member of the Golden Fleece (f.
[1v]) and 32 small coloured coats-of-arms in text, as well as the Van Heurne arms (f. [7]v). Written for a
member of the Van Heurne family : half-page coloured arms on f. [7]v, and names on f. 1r ("Adolf van
heurne", "Jan van heurne").

347 - with an additional line between verse 293-294). 1st letter of each line rubricated. A few marginal or

golden rays, in lower part the Virgin and the Apostles. "S" evoking an ear of corn on pale blue background.

colours (blue red, green), "O" represented as a cornucopia.

background, letter painted in pale pink and blue with some white pen ornaments; on left side, a kneeling
small monk. German ms. ownership entry (unreadable).

Nice sm. miniature finely detailed in different colours and gold heightened representing an angel holding a
banderole "Gloria in excelsis Deo" and 3 shepherds with their flock in a landscape. Gold leaf and painted
initial "D" for "Deus in adjutorium meum intende..." beneath. Around the scene, border decorated with sm.
fruits, flowers... and larger arabesques in blue, gold, pink and green. Ms. text on reverse decorated with a
few smaller initials in blue, red and gold and an orn. border in left part.
