1617. The Italian physician and philosopher Baricelli (1574-1638) was known for a treatise on milk and
butter. The short pieces deal with occultism, alchemy, magic, and such fields as Egyptology, tobacco,
medical case studies, etc. As often
without
the additional treatise on food and drinks announced on the
general title. Ownership entries on front flyleaves. On covers large gilt
arms of Jean-Louis Mondot de la
Marthonie de Caussade
(1712-1779), Bishop of Poitiers, later of Meaux.

sorcerers, and witches, the 3rd part on legal procedures in witchcraft cases. The book was placed on the
Index of prohibited books in 1601. Title in red & black. Mark on title and part-titles. Ownership entries, i.a.
