Theodoret (c. 393-460) was a theologian, bishop of Cyrrhus and one of the most important
ecclesiastical historians of Late Antiquity. Copy with ornemental initial letters, printer's mark

given by Felix, cardinal of Monte Alto, containing : commentaries with
the extracts of the Bible (Genesis, Book of Numbers, Psalms, Gospels…),- sermons on the
Psalms and on the viriginity («Ad virgines exhoratio», «Ad virginem devotam»…),- letters
and funeral orations of Theodosius the Great and Valentinian II. Ambrosius (340-397) was
the bishop of Milano, from 374 to 397, and one of the four Church Fathers. Copy lined
with pen in a neat typography illustrated with some head pieces, one representing the
Four Church Fathers in a medallion at the dedication of vol. I, and larges vignettes on title-
pages of the «Compagnie de La Grand’Navire», group of printers which published since
