and editor of the Antwerp Polyglot Arias Montano (1527–1598). His warning against Jesuit politics
was taken up in the Jansenist controversy at the end of the 17th c. (12mo ed. 1692, 4to ed. 1701).

et systématique. Contient un nouveau chapitre sur la beauté de la religion, une lettre de l’auteur sur
les idées esthétiques de Socrate et une traduction d’un dialogue de Platon sur le beau (“Hippias
majeur”).
