Condorcet (whose biography of Voltaire opens the final vol. 92), financed by Beaumarchais, and
printed by Decroix from type bought from Baskerville. It was the 1st to include Voltaire’s voluminous
correspondence, and formed the basis of all subsequent editions.

het nr. van 7 november 1847 de allereerste publicatie van de tekst van “
De Vlaamse Leeuw

handschrift. Opvallend genoeg wordt bij het lied geen zangwijze vermeld. Een ander opmerkelijk
feit is de ondertitel “Nationael gezang”. Hyppoliet Van Peene schreef de tekst van het lied, Karel
Miry maakte de muziek.
