of this work on the Hebrews by the Italian historian Sigonio (1520-1584)
dealing with their political and legal organisations, religion, calendar, rites and ceremonies,
etc. Neat typography with the allegory of Bologna on the title-page, ornemental head- and
tail-pieces, initial letters (one historiated at the dedication).

Rare second edition
-identical to the first edition of 1560- of this dialogue between
Theophilus and Dorothea on various controversial subjects like the transsubstantiation,
Sabbath, Holy Spirit, etc. Wood-engraved printer's mark on the title-page. Boulenger (+
1598) was a French grammarian and professor of theology at the University of Pisa.
