stains almost visible on verso, some sm. wormholes, corners strengthened, paper locally thinner at
upper right side. Good general condition.

Rare 1st state (of 3) with Cock’s adress, 3 lines Latin verses and the word “Hospital”. Reverse

2nd state (of 2), with Dankertz’s name. From a set of 12 large landscape etchings designed by
Bruegel for the Antwerp print publisher H. Cock. His preparatory drawing has been followed
closely in the print. However the foreground trees, all the figures, and the distant ships were added
by the etchers Jan and Lucas van Doetecum.
