3rd ed. of this historical work on the diocese of Amiens in France by the canon of the Notre-Dame

in Amiens, A. de la Morlière (1560-1629). It describes the history of Amiens from Roman times

onwards. The unnumbered pp. 336-357 in the 2nd work, is an index with descriptions of coat-of-

arms of the noble and important families of Amiens and Picardie. The final part contains many

sonnets written by La Morlière to highlight and commemorate important historical events. Engr.

allegorical printer’s device on 1st title, woodcut printer’s device on 2nd title.
