Very rare German ed. of a typical humanist work of Fr. Filelfo (1398-1481), a

collection of elegant essays on various topics. Hist was one of the 1st German printers, active 1483-

of Erasmus’ plea for Church unity, dedicated to Julius Pflug of Eytra (1499-1564).

He was the last Catholic bishop of Naumburg and shared Erasmus’ concern of irenicism. Added in

, dedicated to the Cologne professor of law Johann Rinck (d.
