: 16 chapters containing edicts on justice and jurisdiction (blasphemy,

heresy and executions), jurisdiction applicable to clergymen, an edict for prison guards, etc. It

includes

2 indices of forbidden books

on resp. pp. 145-153 (dated 1546, also concerning printers

and booksellers) and pp. 174-186 (dated 1550).

Book II

: political edicts on i.a. seafaring and

fishery, hunting, infrastructure, coins, toll, the drapery industry, paper, windmills, grain, wine, beer,

forest and peat.

Book III

: princely decrees on various matters. Woodcut printer’s device within

woodcut border with coat-of-arms of Ghent and Philipp II on t.-p. Ownership entries on flylvs. “M.
