made of a book “Le grand Dictionnaire géographique et critique par M. Bruzen La Martinière”,

1737, goldtooled leather decorated with a dentelles border, 4 cornerpcs, in the middle of the covers an

armorial stamp, gilt spine on 6 raised bands, red polished edges, decorative endpaper, red silk marker.

Rare ed., annotated by the German theologian S. Hörmann (1630-1701) of the main work of Saint

Birgitta, also known as Santa Brigida or St. Bridgid of Sweden and Birgitta of Vadstena, born

Birgitta Birgersdottir (1303-1373), mystic, founder of the Bridgettine Order. Her “Revelations”

had a great influence on medieval mysticism. Extensive index. Libr. ticket and stamps.
