EXEMPLAIRE DE LAFAYETTE. LA DISTRIBUTION DES EXEMPLAIRES DE LA DÉCLARATION D’INDÉPENDANCE (1824) The Declaration of Independence was engraved on copper in 1824, printed on parchment or on paper and distributed following that resolution. This printed copy of the “Resolutions" seems of excessive rarity (no copy on Worldcat, nor in the Library of Congress). Lafayette’s owned a copy on parchment of the 1824’s Declaration of Independence which was sold at Christies, New York, on March 22, 1985. It had been previously several time exhibited : in the Exposition du Centenaire (1934, n° 54) and in Lafayette. Archives nationales (1957, n 26).
