LA CRÉATION D’UN COMITÉ PRÉVOIT LE CONFORT FRUGAL DE LAFAYETTE ORGANISÉ PAR LE CONSEIL MUNICIPAL DE NEW YORK. “THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CHOOSE TO POUR FORTH THEIR FEELINGS" La municipalité a réservé un “spacious apartments in the North Wing of the City Hotel (...) In the execution of the duties assigned to them they have avoided all unmeaning pomp or parade, Vain and Ostentatious ceremonies would be equally unacceptable to our illustrious Visitor, as opposed to our republican habits...
