Description
J.J. Haid (1704–1767) was a German engraver who worked in Augsburg. He is known for his large mezzotint portraits. Collector's stamp on verso of "Le Gouté".
We join : [Winter - Autumn ?], s.d. 2 mezzotint engr., 32 x 25 cm; not signed. Trimmed to border, pin holes in the 4 corners, 2 sm. tears. Good copies. Probably portraits symbolising the seasons. - Le sommeil, s.d. Stipple engr., Paris, Boulard, 22,5 x 31,5 cm. Sl. soiled, marg. stain, foxing on verso. (5 pcs)
