Description
Very rare first German ed. published simultaneously with the French ed. It is the last opera Rossini wrote although he lived for nearly forty more years. It was first performed in Paris in 1829. The lenght and high requirements have led to the difficulty in producing the work. When performed, the opera is often cut. Due to its revolutionary content productions were also limited. Libretto in 2 cols French and German. Fully engr. music.
