2nd ed. (1st Florence 1753), 1st french trsl., of the main work of Eisenberg (1695-1770), stable master of George II of England. It is “a work on the deficiencies and shortcomings of a horse, intended to serve as a practical aid in purchasing horses” (Dejager). With 9 engravings (2 folding) showing parts of the body of a horse in perfect and bad shape. Presentation inscription (mod.) on front flyleaf.
