1st ed. of this beautiful fête book illustrating the Inauguration in Ghent of Charles VI (1685-1740), Holy Roman Emperor, as Count of Flanders in 1717. Splendid engraved illustr. (complete) : allegorical frontisp. by Heylbrouck after J.B. van Volxsom and 6 large to very large folding pl. by or after the same, J. Harrewijn, Berterham and Eykens. Picturing 4 pyramids erected "au marché au vendredy", night-illuminations and fireworks in the city, a triumphal arch, the solemn ceremony at St Bavo Cathedral (sl. stained) and a very large representation of the ceremony on a theater "dressé sur la Place au Vendredy (...) le 18. octobre 1717" (designed by Jacob Colin, drawn by C.
