Description
14,1 x 10,5 cm (trimmed to the borderline); monogr. "A.G." in lower central part. Stuck by upper corners under passe-partout. Sl. brown., corners sl. rounded. 1st state (of 3). "Inspired by, but not a copy after, Schongauer, whose more formal and symmetrical composition has been transposed into a vaulted chamber (...)" (Bartsch ill.). Several collectors' marks on verso.
