Edition limited to 650 copies of which 600 for sale (n. 298 signed by the printer, with fac simile signature of W. Crane). Ill. titlepage printed in black and red. Beautiful publication by W. Crane (1845-1915), the most influential, and among the most prolific, children’s book creator of his generation, part of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
