Description
Images of several types of boats and battleships such as the British ocean liners RMS Mauretania and RMS Lusitania, the North River Steamboat, SS La Provence (ocean liner and auxiliary cruiser), HMS Indomitable (battlecruiser), Frech battleship Charles Martel, etc. Several images of ports : Alger, Port Said, Le Havre, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Portsmouth. Also images of a hydroaeroplane and of the series "Extrait du journal "La Nature"", showing construction parts and preparatory to build ships. Another part of the images about the story of the loss of the Titanic : illustrations, handwritten slides with facts and pictures. Also some verses of the Christian hymn "Nearer, My God, to Thee" known as the alleged last song the band on RMS Titanic played before the ship sank. Labels : "Molteni". We join : British battleships : chapter I [- III]. (London, W. Butcher & Sons, 1909), 24 (3 x 8) slides, bound around the edges with black paper tape, kept in orig. box. The slides were produced under the trade name Primus, as part 779-781 of the Junior Lecturers' Series. First serie : the Dreadnoughts, 2nd : Cruisers and life aboard, 3rd : destroyers and submarines.
