engr. view on sl. tinted paper, pasted on a carte porcelaine, 17,5 x 25 cm. Very good copy.  Extr. rare (unknown ?) view of a goldmining site near the Calaveras river in California, discovered by the crew of Capt. Tremaine. The view shows the shaft of the goldvein near the river with a view on the land prospected by the Anglo-Californian Society. Gold prospecting in Calaveras County began in late 1848. Very rare and interesting print. We join : Etablissement des Soeurs de Notre Dame à Cincinnati (Etats-Unis). Bruges, Daveluy, 19th c., carte porcelaine, 13,3 x 16,6 cm. Very good copy. (2 pcs)
