folio, cont. richly giltstamped vellum (sl. soiled), large central gilt arabesque surrounded by 2 ruled rectangles with gilt stamps in the corners of the inner rectangle on covers, flat gilt spine, gilt gauffered edges, 90 (of 92) plates (lacking "Luceburgum" and "Palatium Mansfeldicum"; title on a slip of paper pasted in the proper space on the t.-p., with an additional t.-p. in orig. goldheightened col. with the title space left empty). Belgian part of the second edition of Blaeu's Latin town atlas of the Netherlands. "Of all the Blaeu atlases, the townbooks of the Netherlands are held in the highest esteem in the Netherlands" (Koeman I, p. 295). Several bookpl. (2 armorial) on endpaper.
