folio, mod. blindst. calf (sl. rubbed), flat spine, engr. title, 76 pls of various formats, some printed on joined sheets (waterstains, 4 pls loose, lower corners of 2 pls torn off not affecting the map, some minor marg. tears, 1 sm. marg. def. on t.-p., soiled & rep. endpapers). Good copy. This well-known atlas by Eugène-Henry Fricx, compiles 2 very heterogeneous parts, with as only link, the Succession War of Spain. Complete as mentionned in the engr. table printed within a nice allegorical frame, the 1st part consists of pure topographical maps : 24 maps, 3 "Cartes particulières" & 1 map "Théâtre de la Guerre des Pays-Bas", the 2nd part has 48 city maps and maps of sieges and battles. All the maps are engraved by Jacob Harrewyn, engraver of Amsterdam, who made all the maps edited by Fricx.
