(title + table of contents), engr. front., 60 numbered engr. pls (2 folding, 3 double-page) (some unobtrusive marg. dampstaining, sm. tear in 1 plate margin). In good condition. Atlas volume, publ. to accompany the London ed. by the French archaeologist Denon (1747-1825). The excellent and detailed engravings present maps of Egypt and of Cairo, views of pyramids and temples (Gizeh, Luxor), and a wide variety of sites, monuments, decoration, hieroglyphs and Egyptian art.
