Description
11 x 8,5 cm, cont. red leather (sl. rubbed), elaborately gilt floral decoration on covers, gilt spine, gilt sides, a.e.g., silk markers, 44 ff. Well preserved, nice small manuscript. Text excellently written within double line borders and signed "A La Plume par L. Vanypen" on last page. Some coloured decorative penwork and ornaments. Dated 1759 ("Oraison a Saint Francois de Borgia Protecteur contre le tremblement de terre" i.e. a reference to the Lisbon earthquake of 1755). Collector's stamp De Ridder, sm. letter (1945 ?) about the provenance pasted on lower endpaper.
