8vo, 19th-c. brown half morocco (edges sl. rubbed), gilt spine, silk marker, [40] ff. (some minor spotting). Nice copy. 4th ed. (1st Paris 1529) of a Latin tragedy on the Lord’s Passion by the Benedictine monk and Paris law professor N. Barthélemy (1478-1538). This early Neolatin play was esp. intended for Latin schools and humanist libraries. Large woodcut mark at the end. In italics. Heraldic woodcut pasted on front endpaper.
