folio, 19th-c. richly goldtooled and blindstamped havanna morocco by Landi (sl. rubbed), spine on 5 raised bands, gilt sides, a.e.g., marbled endpapers, [12]-128-[20] ff. (blank upper margin of title cut off and underlaid, sm. hole in title, minor marg. dampstaining). Very good copy. Beautiful 1st Vascosan ed., based on the Aldine 1513 ed. With woodcuts : map of Gaul (printed from 2 blocks), 5 ills (bridge over the Rhine and 4 city views), map of Spain. Very large decorative initials, incl. 8 from Oronce Finé's Protomathesis (1532).
