8vo, mod. half vellum (some stains), red. sp. edges, 178-[30] pp. (marg. dampstain in last quires). Good copy. 1st ed. of Erasmus' apology against objections made by 2 Paris theologians (J. Clichtoveus and N. Beda) to his views on marriage etc. in the dialogue "Inquisitio de Fide" (1526). When their attacks were finally publ. in 1531, he sent his "Dilutio" to the press, with 2 supplementary apologies about Lent and against Alberto Pio. Mark on title, larger one at end.
