Double-page circular woodcut indicating 75 diseases inserted between Z6-7, 88 full-page woodcuts (some repeats), including 6 of a standing horse and 1 of a horse’s skull, 16 illustrating horse training and dressage, 22 plans relating to horse training etc. Title in red & black within elaborate woodcut border with portraits of famous riders. Printed music on pp. 227-228. Old ownership entries on front endpaper (‘Erasmus a Dietrichstein LB Labag’ and ‘Claudii Schneeweiss ab Arnoldtstein | nunc autem Eiusdem filij Joannis Jacobi’). Ref.
