8vo, 19th-c. half leather, marbl. paper covers, gilt flat spine, yellow edges, [319 (of 320)] ff. (somewhat short, paper age-toned and spotted, some marg. dampstaining and soiling, tear in f. 244). Good copy. Very rare Ancona ed. of an anti-Jewish polemic by the Dominican A. Stabili (fl. 1580-1585). The “Dossier of Jewish Vanity” is a philosophical and theological dialogue (lasting 16 days!) between the sceptical Jew Moyse and his friend Salomon, about Jewish faith, religion, Mosaic law etc. Woodcut mark on title.
