Nutii, 1598 sm. 4to, cont. overl. vellum, flat spine, [22-2 bl.]-751-[24] pp. Very good copy. 1st and only separate ed. of this important history of Burgundy and esp. of the Low Countries until 1565, published as a continuation of Heuterus' "Rerum Belgicarum" (Antwerp 1583), which covers the period until c. 1480. As a canon in Gorinchem, Pontus De Heuter was captured by the "Geuzen" in 1572 but could escape martyrdom and flee to the Southern Netherlands. After having been a canon at Deventer from 1585 till 1591, he moved to St. Truiden, where he died in 1602. With 13 folding printed genealogical tables.
