8vo, mod. calf, covers with gilt ornamental border, gilt spine, 76 ff. (title sl. soiled and mounted, occ. spotting). Good copy. Very rare 1st larger collection of the poetry of “the French Horace” Jean Salmon Macrin (1490-1557), in his time considered to be the finest Neolatin poet of France. Earlier (in 1528) only a small part (16) ff.) of his poems had been published by S. de Colines. Woodcut mark on title. In italics. Capital spaces with guide-letters.
