16mo, cont. gilt calf (worn), spine rebacked with vellum (split), gilt gauffered edges, fore-edge titled, 2 parts, 365-[3], [24] ff. (due to an error of the original binder quire "A" of "Explanatio" was replaced by a 2nd copy of quire "a" of "Carmina"; paper age-toned, some dampstaining). Good copy. Extr. rare and very early Plantin imprint, with his first printer’s marks (woodcut). It consists of an extensive commentary on Psalms and of a collection of religious poems by the Italian poet M.A. Flaminio (1498-1550). Old ownership entries.
