8vo, cont. limp vellum (loosening at front), flat spine, remains of ties, sp. edges, [16]-781-[75] pp. (paper age-toned). Very good copy. Rare ed. of various texts on the history of Spain, compiled and collected by the Bruges humanist Joannes Vasaeus (1511-1561), a pupil of N. Clenardus. His own history of ancient and medieval Spain 1st appeared Salamanca 1552. In the present ed. was added “De origine ... Hispaniae” of Fr. Tarafa (1st: Antwerp 1553). Woodcut mark on title.
