4to, 19th-c. half vellum, flat spine (sm. def. at head), gilt red label, [2]-585 (= 587)-[3] pp. (2 tiny wormholes in 1st ff.). Very good copy. Important sourcebook for the art history of the Low Countries, compiled by the Lier poet C. de Bie (1627-1711). Engr. ills : title by C. Meyssens after A. van Diepenbeek, 97 full-page portraits, 5 allegorical pls. On lower flyleaf a pencil portrait of Vincentius Schammotzius. Some old pen notes, numerous later pencil notes.
