4to, old quarter calf (rubbed), gilt flat spine (head and tail def., front joint starting to split), red polished edges, [2]-312-[12] pp. (some ff. stained or spotted). Good (large paper?) copy. Original ed. (repr. 1684, 1699) of a treatise on the Roman calendar and its afterlife by the French mathematician Blondel (1618-1686). Engr. headpc. with medallion portrait of Louis XIV; medallion portrait of Pope Gregorius XIII on p. 254.
