oblong 8vo (in 10’s), cont. marbl. sheep (rubbed), gilt spine on 3 raised bands (head and tail def.), red edges, marbl. endpapers, 2 cloth markers, [200] ff. (somewhat dampstained and spotted). Acceptable complete copy.   Extr. rare Venetian ed. of the 8-language conversation guide and dictionary of Noel de Barlement, 1st publ. 1585. Pt. I consists of Latin dialogues with facing trsl. in 7 languages.  Pt. II is a similar thematic wordlist.  Pt. III is a short treatise on pronunciation, i.a. “Della pronontiatione Tedesca [= Dutch!]”. This is also one of the rare books printed in decimo. Printed in 8 cols on facing pages.
