12mo, cont. mottled calf (sl. rubbed), richly gilt flat spine, green silk marker, [4]-ix-[3]-388-[4], [4]-287-[3] pp. (some minor soiling or spotting, A4 of 2nd part cut short shaving a couple of letters). Very good copy. Retranslation into French from the English version by Joseph Morgan “A compleat history of the piratical states of Barbary” (London 1750). Laugier de Taussy was a French traveller, at some time working for the French Consulate in Algiers.
