Illustrated with 9 folding engr. pl. depicting various processes of decolorizing, bleaching, dyeing, etc. Interesting is the discussion of the use of bleach in the production of (recycled) paper as in that time recycled paper was typically dark and grey due to the residues of ink. Bookpl.
