Description
4to, as issued, 3-[1] pp. Nice copy. Unrecorded Dendermonde imprint. French poem in praise of Louis XVIII (1755-1824), written by “de Richemont”. Could this be the Richemont who acted as a Lost Dauphin claimant (i.e. claiming that he was the real Louis XVII, and that he did not die as a young boy in 1795)? Ref. Not in Broeckaert, Devolder, Anet, BnF, BL, Libis, Opac KBR. Joined: Autograph letter in French by de Richemont, from "Termonde" (Dendermonde), 2 July 1815, bifolium, c. 24,5 x 41,5 cm, [2] ff. (1 blank). Nice complimentary letter to his host, accompanying “un exemplaire d’un petit ouvrage auquel j’ai travaillé chez vous” (probably referring to the Ode described above).
