8vo, cont. calf (scratch, sl. bumped corners), gilt orn. spine on 5 raised bands (front joint sl. split., head & tail somewhat defect.), sp. edges, xxxii-352-[2]-23-[92] pp. (front endpage loose, a single minor stain). Very good copy.   New revised and summarized ed. (1st 1753) of Bouguer's (1698-1758) work on navigation and pilotage. Ill. with 13 folding pls of which 6 maps (the Channel, the Bay of Biscay, the Atlantic & directions prevaling winds, the Northern and the Southern hemispheres (by Dheulland).
