Francofurti, apud haeredes Andreae Wecheli, 1583. 2 parts in 1 vol. in-f° : [12]-1/358-359/507 col.-508-[1 bl.] pp.-[76], [12]-352 pp. (some pp. browned, other less, tear with lack in title-page due to a guard, small stains, light marginal dampstain at the end). Contemporary binding : pigskin on wooden boards fully blindstamped, boards decorated with fillets and several ornamental roll-stamps (one figuring characters), ribbed spine with ink title, red sprinkled edges, brass clasps (rare stains, one wormhole). First edition given by Guilielmus Xylander, entirely in Greek, of the only work of Pausanias, correcting in many places the Aldine edition of 1516. After his death in 1576, his philological work was continued by Friedrich Sylburg. With a translation of the work by Romolo Amaseo. This edition also contains a description of Greece from Strabo, Ptolemy and Pliny, with Sylburg's notes, and large indexes. Printer's marks on the title-page and on the back of last leaf.

Second edition (1st ed. : Basel, 1549) of the Greek Anthology, collection of poems, mainly epigrams, edited by Jean Brodeau. With notes of Vincent Obsopoeus and Henri Estienne. Édition entièrement en grec de l'ouvrage de Pausanias avec des commentaires de Xylander et Sylburg et une version latine par Amaseo. Pleine peau de truie sur ais de bois estampée à froid (qqs pp. fort brunies). Relié avec l'Anthologie grecque éditée par Brodeau.
