London, Hodder and Stoughton, [c. 1925]. In-8° ; ill. (slightly yellowed, foxing). Publisher's binding : yellow cloth, upper board with title and illustration in blue, titled flat spine, yellow top edge (slightly soiled). Norwegian fairy tale collected by P.E. Asbjornsen and J.I. Moe first published in 1841 in the "Norske Folkeeventyr" and first translated in English in 1910 by George Webbe Dacent. Illustrated with 24 tipped-in colour plates and black vignettes by the Danish illustrator Nielsen.
