impression. Nice collection of portraits of military and ecclesiastical dignitaries by B. Moncornet (1630-1670), including some duplicates (Bassompierre, colligny). Most are French, but there are a number of Dutch, German, Spanish and Swedish persons. Some names: Duc de Sully, Louise Angélique de la Fayette,”fille de la Royne”, J.-P. Camus (Bishop of Bellay), the Dutch admirals Tromp and Witte de With, Fr. de Mello (governor of the spanish netherlands), Jean de nassau (lord of diest), amalia of Orange nassau, ambrogio spinola, etc.
