August 1690 - 10 September 1691, Dutch manuscript, c. 31 x 18 cm, cont. vellum (worn and loosening, spine def.), [96] ff. (some, blank?, ff. torn out, 1st ff. soiled and with edges frayed with loss of some words, occ. staining, some tears), written in pale brown ink. In reasonably good condition. Very interesting personal course and exercise book of “W. Willemsen Loos” (f. [12]), perhaps a mathematical teacher: on t.-p. “Wilhelm Loos is mijn naem so langh ick leven, niemandt soude mij wat geven dacht ick, daerom moest ick leeren en goeden konsten exerceren opdat ick met godt en eeren in dese werelt moch mij erneren”. With exercises taken from david cock, author of “de cyfer-konst” (many eds 1645-1799). Some headings “Numeratio, Regel van dryen, Numeratio in’t gebroken, kassiers rekeninge, den verkeerden ofte gecomposeerden regel van vijven, den regel van egalisatie”. With calligraphically written verses i.a. on title, and “Tot den Leerlingh”, f. [17]. a few sm. calligraphic drawings.
