8 lám. fuera de texto con un grabado en madera, viñeta alusiva al cuento que se relata. Enc. de la época en media piel y puntas, lomo con nervios, hierros dorados y tejuelo ´Spanish Tales´. Cortes marbelados iguales a las guardas. La Enc. rozada, interior en muy buen estado de conservación. Edición original de este raro libro. Recoge ocho historias que dicen ser traducidas del español, aunque parecen más inspiradas y con personajes españoles que de creación británica. El editor que en este caso hace tambien de recolector, dedica la obra a Anna Eliza Chandos, Condesa de Temple. Una corta advertencia del editor puntualiza: ´The following Tales are the production of a young Lady unknown in the Metropolis, and unused to writing for the reader, as the rural employement of a few leisure hours, and doubts not, that they will be received with forbearance, though they may be thought undeserving of praise´.
