officina Roberti Stephani, 1544. In-8° : 134-[122] pp. (rare pp. slightly browned, rare marg. handwritten notes, light and small marg. dampstains in the end). Contemporary binding : calf, blind stamped boards with central panels figuring 2 portraits in medallions encircled by afloral roll-stamp and fillets, ribbed spine, red edges (slightly rubbed on the edges, large scratch on the panel of lower board). First edition of the abstract on the Gallic Wars attributed to the Roman historian Eutropius (4. Cent). Followed by the commentaries on the stories by Julius Caesar of the same conflicts and of the Civil Wars given by the philologist Glaeranus (1488-1563). With extensive toponymic and populations indexes (one with translations in French).
