Description
France en 1702. Ses ennemis réussirent à le faire passer pour un espion de la Hollande. Aussitôt enlevé, il fut jeté à la BASTILLE, d'où il ne sortit qu'en 1713, grâce à l'intervention de la Reine ANNE. RENNEVILLE s'enfuit en Angleterre et dédia au Roi George son “HISTOIRE DE LA BASTILLE”, qui eut un immense retentissement.... - On a de lui “L'INQUISITION FRANÇAISE OU L'HISTOIRE DE LA BASTILLE” Impr. en 1715, réimprimé avec un supplément, Amsterdam et Leyde, 1724, 5 vol. in-12° - LIVRE COPIÉ au XVIII°, Manuscrit de 206 pp in-4°, ayant pour Titre: “Extrait de divers fragments de L'INQUISITION FRANÇOISE OU HISTOIRE DE LA BASTILLE par M. Constantin DE RENNEVILLE.- à Amsterdam chez Balthazar Lakerman, à Leide chez Jean et Herm Verbeek 1724.” - textes intéressants.
- RENNEVILLE (René Auguste Constantin DE) Caen 1650 - Hesse 1723 - French writer, Mousquetaire, Director of aids and estates in CARENTAN. Around 1699, wanting to freely profess the Reformed Religion, he retired to Holland. He returned to France in 1702. His enemies succeeded in making him look like a spy for Holland. As soon as he was kidnapped, he was thrown into the BASTILLE, from where he did not leave until 1713, thanks to the intervention of Queen Anne. RENNEVILLE fled to England and dedicated to King George his "HISTORY OF THE BASTILLE", which had a huge impact.... - One has of him "L'INQUISITION FRANÇAISE OU L'HISTOIRE DE LA BASTILLE" printed in 1715, reprinted with a supplement, Amsterdam and Leiden, 1724, 5 vol. in-12° - BOOK COPYED in the XVIII°, Manuscript of 206 pp in-4°, having for Title: "Extract of various fragments of L'INQUISITION FRANÇOISE OU L'HISTOIRE DE LA BASTILLE by M.
